La boutique Noël

In the heart of Paris is a fairytale world where embroidery reigns supreme. Here, from ceremonial table linen to pocket handkerchiefs, each and every item is exquisitely embroidered.

Welcome to the NOËL boutique on place d'Iéna - a vast and luminous setting on two floors, where airy, grey curtains frame wide picture windows and the furniture is made of beautiful sycamore wood.

But the visitor's gaze is soon claimed by the thousand and one marvels on display. All around, all divinely embroidered are nothing but the noblest natural fabrics : linen, organdie, damask cotton, muslin, soft Egyptian cotton towels, percale, cotton satin or cotton piqué....

With its collections of table and bed linen, bathroom sets, gifts, nightwear and "Bébé NOËL " (layette), NOËL makes every moment spent at home so special - from bathtime to bedtime, from breakfast to dinner, from the children's nursery to the parents' bedroom.

The world of NOËL is an infinite array of delights, exquisite treats for yourself or someone else, all those things - large and small - that make life more beautiful.

The History of Noël Paris

The origins: from lace to embroidery

Originally, the Maison devoted itself to antique lace, before evolving in the early twentieth century towards embroidery. This transition marked the birth of the Noël Paris style, built around floral and decorative motifs, a keen sense of design, and a masterful command of stitch. From the very beginning, the quality of execution and the refinement of its embroideries established Noël Paris as an undisputed reference among discerning clientele.

From the 1920s onwards, the Maison gained international renown. Its tablecloths and embroidered pieces graced prestigious tables, accompanied official and private receptions, and found their place in exceptional interiors, both in France and abroad. This recognition rested on an unwavering standard: precise design, carefully selected materials, and impeccable threadwork. Over the decades, Noël Paris built a unique archive, now comprising more than 13,000 drawings and embroideries.

Today, under the leadership of Olivia Dieudonné, Noël Paris is entering a new chapter in its history. Drawing on this exceptional heritage, the Maison affirms a contemporary vision of embroidery: attuned to modern uses, open to bespoke commissions and singular projects, while remaining true to what has defined its identity since 1883. A heritage house, firmly rooted in its time, that continues to bring thread, design, and gesture to life with rigour and coherence across its entire art de vivre.

« One marvels at the delicacy of the design, the precision of its proportions, and the subtle harmony of its colors.»

{ A Constant Source of Inspiration }

Noël embroidery patterns are inspired by the inexhaustible archives preserved by the house since since 1883 — over 13,000 drawings and thousands of meticulously rolled tracings of all sizes for all compositions, ready to be used. A constant source of inspiration, these designs only ask to be revisited to reflect the spirit of the times.

{ Inspiring Motifs }

Over the decades, Noël Paris has developed a unique archive, more than 13,000 designs and embroideries. Fruits, flowers, foliage, seascapes, geometric patterns, and Art Deco-inspired motifs: these archives bear witness to a keen eye for nature, forms, and styles, and constitute a living heritage, there to be continually reinterpreted.

{ A Magical Enclave }

In the heart of Paris, on Place d'Iéna, Boutique Noël celebrates the art of embroidery.

Across two light-filled floors, each piece tells a story: formal tablecloths, pocket handkerchiefs, bed linens, lingerie, birth, and gifts.

The collections are crafted from noble, natural materials: linen, organdy, damask cotton, muslin, soft Egyptian cotton towels, percale, satin, and cotton piqué.

{ « HAND » EMBROIDERY }

This technique requires exceptional dexterity. The original designs, reproduced on perforated tracings, are transferred onto linen, cotton, or organdy using a stencil before being embroidered by expert hands. It is truly a work of Haute Couture.

{ « MECHANICAL » EMBROIDERY }

This technique makes it possible to embroider a large number of identical motifs using a machine. The entirely manual preparation is lengthy and demands genuine expertise.
